My Thoughts:
When I hear Nascar... A few names pop in my head... Earnhardt, Waltrip, Petty, Gordon, Johnson...Just to name a few. I am a Nascar Fan. I have had the opportunity to get a few autographs and meet some amazing race car drivers in person. I have been lucky enough to go to some amazing races and hope to attend a few more. It is such a thrill to be at a race and those cars zoom by so fast. I have seen some awful wrecks and Unfortunately, I was at the Daytona 500 the year Dale Earnhardt was killed. Dale Earnhardt was my husband's favorite driver and we were devasted, as most of the Nascar families and fans. Even if you were not an Earnhardt fan, this was a horrible thing. While we were at that race, we didn't know that Earnhardt had died in that wreck. We learned of this aweful news later that night watching the news.
Chicken Soup for the Soul-Nascar is the perfect book for Nascar fans. This is another great Chicken Soup for the Soul Book. Like all the other Chicken Soup for the Soul books I have read, I love this one. I love how you can read the whole book or if time doesn't allow-you can read just a few pages at a time. In this book, you will get to know some of the inside stories about Nascar behind the scenes and get to learn about some of the great drivers. This book will have you laughing at the drivers pranks and you will get some insightful anecdotes about the drivers outside the cars. This has a whole chapter about Dale Earnhardt and some other personal stories from some great Nascar Drivers. This is a great book to read to find out more about this great sport and the drivers behind it.
