To make back to school easier, try to do as much the night before as you can. Lay out your child's clothes, pack lunch. Make sure you have time to sit and have breakfast with your child before taking him to school.

I have a rountine bedtime, starting in august. Then when it is back to school, I make sure to get everything together the night before, it saves time in the mornings, and makes things calmer.

tips for back to school- make ahead pb&j and freeze them- that way when you dont feel like making lunches- you have them...i have my kids clothes sorted by jeans and shirt on top- taht way no matter what they pick- i know it goes together...

I get a desk top calendar and we enter all the appts., after school activities, gym, band, etc. then we check it each day. The kids rarely forget anything this way, and I'm organized and less stressed.

At night after bath time my children put their backpacks with finished homework, shoes and jackets for the next day in the cubby by the front door.
We also pick out there clothes for tomorrow at this time.
It makes everything go a lot smoother in the morning knowing where everything is.

The night before we make sure the back packs and lunches are packed and their clothes are laid out which saves time in the morning.

What works for me is getting everything ready the night before. Notes written, clothes out, and lunches made. This way if we should be running late int he morning it is not as stressful getting everyone going.
