I wanted to share some important information with you. I want us all to be ready and take the first steps towards being prepared in case of any emergency.
One way to prepare is by taking the new Readiness Challenge– an online emergency simulation that forces users to make quick decisions at every turn. The Readiness Challenge also guides users to theMy Meeting Place Facebook application and other OEM resources to help users get started on their emergency plans.
As potential snowfalls hit the NYC area, you can go here to find out the order in which the city will plow the streets to help you prepare.
Depending on where you live, the weather and your situation may be different! but.. I think that is important for us all to be prepared for an emergency.

Spin booster for almost unlimited spin times
Made in the U.S.A.
First of All, I LOVE that this is Made in the USA! This utra high performance spinning top will provide hours of fun! My 10 year old son loves this! He told me that at first he wasn't sure how to use it. (To be honest, I wasn't either.) This video below, shows you how to do it and also gives you great tips. It also gives you some other ideas of how to play this, either by yourself or with friends. This Megatop takes time to get the hang of. You need to practice before you can perform some cool tricks but playing with this is alot of fun. Recommended for ages 8 and older.
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Walgreens is offering a special discount on their annual membership for Walgreens Prescription Savings Club. Right now until January 31st, you can save big! If you enroll today, you can save $15 and get an individual plan for just $5, not to mention all the other savings you can get.
Or for $10 a year for a family membership, a savings of $25 right now, covers everyone in your immediate family. Including a spouse, dependents 22 and younger and pets. Join and receive discount prices on your prescriptions.
This is a great program. It is not an insurance program and most everyone can join. Only those that are on Medicare, Medicaid and TriCare receipents are excluded because Federal and State law prohibits people enrolled in a publicly funded care program to participate in this program.
People who do not have insurance can save significant with this program. Or if you do have insurance and your co-pays are too high, you may save big too.
Other benefits include: -Savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications -Discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies -Bonuses when you purchase Walgreens brand products and photofinishing services
Check it out!!! This program may save you alot of money. But, hurry and save extra money because after January 31st, the program price is going to cost you more .
It feels great to be getting back in the swing of things!!
I finished Week #2 of the #2WeekChallenge. I did really good. I have Lost a total of 5 pounds! The Work outs were challenging and I can feel them working. I have been eating better and I still have cut out the Soda. (No reason to start drinking it either.)
So, this week, I am going to continue eating better, drinking more water and getting in my workouts. I like the idea of doing Cardio on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and doing Strength training on Tuesday and Thursday. Then doing something different on Saturday and taking Sunday's off.
That said, today I did the Hula Hoop and Step Aerobics on the Wii Fit and I did a Good workout using the Zumba wii game. So, I just need to continue doing good the rest of the week.
This week’s blogging carnival is sponsored by Mamavation.
This week's Question is: Who is your biggest inspiration when it comes to healthy lifestyle?
Breakfast on the Go! is offering a new and healthy option to help You start off the New Year right! This January, Emerald Breakfast on the Go! NEW Oatmeal Nut blends will be released.
These new, pre-portioned, low calorie breakfast or snack blends are a great way to help busy people stick to their healthy New Year's resolutions. (Not just for breakfast, these make great snack options!!)
It feels great to be getting back in the swing of things!! Well... Not really feels great as I am Sore! Boy am I out of shape and that's a shame.
But, I finished Week #1 of the #2WeekChallenge. I did really good too. I have Lost 3 pounds! The Work outs were challenging and made my body is SORE!! I have been eating better and I cut out the Soda. Cutting out the Soda was really hard for me because I lived on Diet Pepsi/Coke. I probably drank at least a 6 pack per day and sometimes I didn't eat or I ate whatever and whenever I wanted. ( Well, I noticed that it caught up to me and I gained back some weight- that's why I'm here.)
My Goal is for a Healthy Me!!! I want to eat healthy, lose weight and Tone up. I am on a good path. My husband started this with me and he should have lost weight but he didn't exercise much and cheated on his food. He cut back and started eating healthy but then he had a few blueberry turnovers, cheeseburger and fries, and whatever eles he didn't tell me he had. I on the otherhand, ate pretty healthy. I will tell you that I know if I give up certain foods that I will not make it and crave it. So, I have to tell you that the Weight Watchers Ice Cream Bars are really good!! They help me get my chocolate fix without alot of calories.
So... This week I'm off to a good start!!! I did my Monday Workout but those planks are a killer. ( My abs will be rewarded in the end though) But I am going to see that my effort pays off!

It contains: 37% Dietary Fiber, 20% Omega 3 ALA, 20% Protein.
The Question is: What are your latest healthy food discoveries?
My Answer is: That I am trying to make healthy meals for my family. I am trying to eat more fruits and veggies and smaller portions. Also, I am not eating at 9:00 pm when I come home from work. I am making a better meal (Dinner) and eating before I leave for work at 3:00. I bring a piece of fruit or a healthy snack to eat around 7 pm to fill me up so I'm not hungry when I get home. ( I'm trying to train my body )
This post is sponsored by The Chia Co and I’m writing this to be entered into a giveaway hosted by Mamavation – a community dedicated to obesity prevention & weight loss for women.
