Bad Service

Guest post from: Mohamed Simon

I’ve got to look into finding a new direct tv service provider. Who we use now just isn’t working. I don’t know if it is something in their control or not, but we’ve lived in our new house for six months, and I have had to call them over 10 times to report issues with my television and internet. One minute it is working just fine, and the next I can’t get the darn thing to come on. It will say “searching for signal” or “wireless connection not available.” We do live pretty far out of town, and maybe it has something to do with that? I don’t know. They are always super nice and helpful, and usually can talk me through what to do to fix it over the phone, but it often takes up to 45 minutes. It is so frustrating to have to do that so often. They sent a guy out here last month to check it out, and he couldn’t find anything wrong with our setup, so I honestly have no idea.

A Major Change has happened

This one is a Biggie!!!

I guess the time has come... I've been pretty lucky to have been a stay at home more for the past ten years!!!! I started coaching gymnastics again in the evenings and it was great for the past 6 years, but now that my kids are alittle older and have some much going on, I have been missing some of their activities. So, this was bittersweet for me, because I am going to miss coaching gymnastics. I'm going to miss the sport, my friends, the other coaches, the kids and their parents. I have known some of the kids and coached them since they were really little and I enjoyed watching them grow up and become great gymnasts. But, I need to be home in the evening with my family. I have been missing my children in the evening and their sports activities. This is why I decided to go back to work full time out of the house.

So, if you have noticed, I haven't written here lately, that is why. I'm trying to adjust to this new schedule of mine. My new job is going pretty good, but I'm not used to being gone from the house this long each day. I am going to have to start planning my posts better and get in a better routine. So far, I have managed to have my clothes ready, lunches packed, getting up early, getting ready for work, driving there, working all day and getting home. I have had dinner prepared or at least thought of. I was off to a good start.

Then the stomach bug visited our house. This was a nasty little bug that hit Connor first Tues. night then Kylee Thurs. night, Pete got it Friday and I managed to sleep it off. (So, I think!) I came home from work Friday and both kids and hubby were home sick. I skipped dinner and went striaght to bed. Then Saturday, I had to work over-time, go to Connor's basketball game then came home and went to bed early. I'm not sure if I was so tired from this bug or from not used to working so much. But, anyways, I'm doing good and this week will be much better. I am going to make time to exercise in the mornings and if that doesn't work out, I will have to make the time in the evenings. Also, I have to find time to keep up on the house work. I'm hoping that the kids and hubby can help me out there. I'm thinking that I will need to enforce that chore list and have everyone pitch in.
